“Beauty Ratios”, in support of Frieze London, examined the influence of art on beauty today. We discussed the dichotomy of respecting laws of facial proportion while preserving individuality in aesthetic treatment; and we examined how the early learnings of Masters such as Botticelli and Da Vinci continue to inspire modern face-lifting techniques. But we also discovered the role that art plays in creating social beauty trends – and ultimately preserving them.
